Job Summary:
The Hotel Engineer / Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the hotel's physical structure, equipment, and systems. This includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a proactive attitude and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across all hotel facilities and equipment. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff. Monitor and maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting. Maintain records of all work performed and ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks and emergency repairs as needed. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hotel, hospitality or multifamily environment. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs. Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks related to maintenance duties. Physical Requirements:
Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights. Ability to stand, walk, and work in various environmental conditions for extended periods.
