Key Responsibilities

  • Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce all company and client safety policies in collaboration with the Safety Department.
  • Serve as a leader in implementing and promoting COP’s Corporate Safety Policy.
  • Ensure all required safety reports are completed within 24 hours.
  • Pre-Construction Planning
  • Review and interpret construction documents (contracts, submittals, plans, specs, drawings, as-builts, etc.).
  • Attend pre-construction meetings with project teams, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
  • Set up budgets, cost codes, subcontracts, and purchase agreements.
  • Coordinate with the Contract Administrator to ensure all contractual insurance and indemnification requirements are met.
  • Secure permits, transmittals, and submittals required for project execution.
  • Project Execution & Management
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Oversee subcontractor management, ensuring compliance with all contract requirements.
  • Track and update project costs, revenue projections, and material quantities.
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy in project billing, payment tracking, and documentation.
  • Project Closeout
  • Conduct final walkthroughs with the project team, owner, architect, and engineers.
  • Audit all paid quantities and submit substantial completion documentation.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of supervisory experience in heavy civil construction. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage projects with strict timelines and budgets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and ability to learn new construction software.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, subcontracts, and specifications.
  • Ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients, engineers, co-workers, and subcontractors.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to remote construction sites as needed.
  • Experience with wastewater treatment plant projects is a plus.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time (Monday – Friday)
