Description Join the HR team at Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD)! THPRD is looking for a detail-oriented HR Assistant to support recruitment and onboarding, while also providing administrative and technical support to the HR division.

This position is scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week; with flexibility around days and hours worked to support the selected candidates' schedule.

Part-Time Variable (PT): Fewer than 20 hours per week and no more than 1,560 hours annually Part-Time Benefited (PTB): 20-29 hours per week year-round with benefits eligibility As an HR Assistant, you will be partnered with a team of HR Assistants and be supported by the HRIS Administrator.
Essential functions and competencies of the job include:
Post part-time and seasonal job opportunities and work with hiring managers to market vacancies. Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in the recruitment and selection process. Screen applicants for minimum qualifications and refer to hiring officials for additional screening and hire. Support pre-employment requirements including background check and pre-boarding tasks. Process personnel hires and changes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain employee data in the district's HRIS/ERP (Enterprise ERP) system. Respond to claims for unemployment and verifications of employment. Provide excellent internal and external customer service. Create a positive experience for applicants and colleagues through professional and welcoming behavior and prompt and reliable service. Partner with HR team members on special projects as needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion to sensitive information. Education/Training: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, plus additional specialized training equivalent to a two (2) year degree or university education with coursework or training in human resources. Requires a minimum of two (2) years of office experience, including at least one year in human resources, risk management or a related field preferred.
