Trade Compliance Specialist

to join their team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you'll play a vital part in navigating U.S. Customs and international trade regulations, ensuring seamless and compliant operations across a global footprint. What You'll Do: Maintain up-to-date expertise on U.S. Customs and international trade regulations, including customs clearance, product classification, and valuation Monitor and analyze changes in U.S. and global tariffs (e.g., Section 301/232) and assess potential impacts on operations and costs Identify and mitigate trade compliance risks across sourcing, product development, and supply chain functions Conduct HTS Code analysis, utilize trade compliance software tools for screening, classification, and recordkeeping Prepare Certificates of Origin and USMCA certificates as required Manage import/export documentation, reporting, and duty spend verification Support global footprint analysis and strategy through duty spend reporting and analysis Develop and maintain trade compliance process documentation, including creating and updating manuals Stay current on U.S. Customs regulations through webinars, seminars, and other training opportunities Provide responsive support for customer requests related to trade compliance and customs activities Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

2+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or a related field Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related area Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with ERP systems Solid understanding of HTS/HS classification and U.S. Customs regulations
