POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

KKCS is seeking an experienced Deputy Building Inspector to support Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) as part of the Quality Assurance and Construction Inspection Division. This position will focus on providing special inspection services for major capital improvement projects, ensuring compliance with LADBS Deputy Building Inspector standards and LAWA-specific requirements. This is a full-time, onsite position at LAX with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.


Key Job Duties


Essential Job Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support, responding to helpdesk emails and tickets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, hardware, and software issues following established procedures.
  • Analyze, document, and escalate incidents as necessary, ensuring timely resolution of outages.
  • Submit and manage service requests through Freshdesk, IT ServiceNow, and other tracking tools.
  • Perform onboarding and offboarding functions for mobilized/demobilized staff.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows 10/11, Office 365).
  • Support relocations, deployments, and IT setup across airport program offices.
  • Provide IT support for program-wide events and new staff orientations.
  • Deliver on-the-job training for new IT team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT technical support or related experience.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting PC hardware components (motherboards, memory, storage, power supplies).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS (10/11) installation, configuration, patching, and updates.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage data coordination and conversion projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical users.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate status of short- and long-term tasks.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Experience working in airport, transportation, or public agency environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management practices and enterprise-level IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshdesk).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to support large-scale deployments and relocations across multiple locations.
  • Experience delivering training and user orientation in a professional setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and client stakeholders.

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including after hours and multiple shifts, as needed.
  • Ability to drive company vehicles or use personal vehicle when required.
  • May be assigned additional duties as needed.
