Kubernetes Engineer Irvine, CA (Hybrid) Full-Time Job ID 25-09779 Solugenix is seeking an experienced Kubernetes Engineer for a full-time, hybrid position based in Irvine, CA. Seeking a Kubernetes Engineer with deep expertise in container orchestration and CNCF ecosystem tooling. This role will focus on designing, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters to provide a resilient and scalable platform for application teams. Looking for strong communication skills, high energy, taking ownership, and not afraid to engage with customers. Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals and APIs. Good experience in scripting in Python. Hands-on experience with AWS EKS and/or self-managed Kubernetes. Experience with Helm, Operators, and CRDs. Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK). Strong communication skills, high energy, take ownership and not afraid to engage with customers. Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) preferred. Strong Kubernetes knowledge with Red Hat OpenShift Operator framework is a plus. Experience with Portworx (installation, configuration, troubleshooting) is a plus. Responsibilities: Administer Kubernetes clusters (EKS, self-managed, and hybrid). Automate cluster provisioning, upgrades, and scaling. Monitor and troubleshoot containerized workloads and cluster-level issues. Implement RBAC, network policies, and security best practices. Support CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based deployments (ArgoCD, Flux). Integrate CNCF tools (service mesh, observability, policy management). Collaborate with developers to ensure optimal application performance on Kubernetes. Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $80/hour to $90/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
