Position Summary
A respected hospital in North Carolina is seeking a
Nurse Manager
to lead its
Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (40 beds, ~56 FTEs) . The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality, and evidence-based patient care. This leader will drive staff development, oversee operational and financial performance, and foster a collaborative, supportive environment for both patients and staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide leadership and daily operational oversight for the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit Ensure compliance with nursing practice standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements Promote evidence-based care and patient safety initiatives Collaborate with senior nursing leadership on planning, staffing, and performance improvement Manage budgetary, labor, and resource allocations to support unit goals Support professional development and mentoring of nursing staff Build a culture of accountability, excellence, and teamwork Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred ADN/BA with MSN accepted in lieu of BSN 5+ years of recent acute care nursing experience Minimum 2 years of leadership/management experience in an acute care setting Current RN license (Compact accepted) National certification in leadership or clinical specialty within 1 year of hire BLS required
