Description
Patient Communication: Handle a high volume of inbound phone calls (approximately 80–100 daily), providing patients with general information, answering inquiries, and assisting with scheduling needs.
Referral Management: Review and approve referral statuses, confirm referral details, and follow up with patients or providers as needed.
Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments across various departments and services, including imaging and specialty care.
Triage Support: Assist in triaging patient needs and directing them to appropriate clinical resources or departments.
Patient Confirmation: Confirm upcoming appointments with patients and ensure all necessary documentation and referrals are in place.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Customer Service Excellence: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide compassionate and professional support to patients.
Multitasking & Time Management: Ability to manage high call volumes and multiple scheduling systems efficiently.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in handling patient information, referrals, and appointment logistics.
Technical Proficiency:
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic).
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve scheduling conflicts, insurance issues, and patient concerns independently or with minimal supervision.
Team Collaboration: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with clinical and administrative staff.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
