Job Overview
Opus Inspection, doing business as Envirotest Ohio E-Check, actively seeks a knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist for a full-time position in Twinsburg, Ohio. This role supports all human resources functions for the Ohio program, including recruitment, coaching, and employee relations. The HR Generalist will allocate 20 to 30 percent of the work week at the local work station(s). Compensation is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and education. Responsibilities
- Support human resources functions related to recruitment, selection, internal placement, discipline, management-employee relations, complaints, and benefits.
- Facilitate and implement recruitment strategies.
- Partner with management on employee relations matters including counseling and exit interviewing.
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Administer and assist with HR plans and procedures, including development, implementation, maintenance, and training for new programs and practices.
- Engage with managers and supervisors on employee training and development.
- Perform benefits administration including communicating benefits information to employees.
- Conduct recruitment for exempt and nonexempt personnel, student, and temporary employees.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
- Participate in administrative meetings, and attend other meetings and seminars.
- Work with the HR Director on evaluating employee data, company trends, and departmental goals.
- Maintain HR information system records and compile reports from the database.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefit laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, unemployment claims).
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or applicable field
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience
- Knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to human resources
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with HRIS systems, especially ADP, preferred
- Ability to analyze data and develop solutions
- Relationship builder
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide direction
- Desire to work in a team atmosphere and collaborate with others
Salary range: $60,000-70,000
