Position Overview:

The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes, ensuring that our people strategy aligns with our business goals. The position has a strategic role setting policies and procedures and is hands-on across all HR functions. This individual will play a key role in enhancing policies, driving talent acquisition, fostering employee engagement, and cultivating a positive company culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance.
• Partner with leadership to design and implement HR strategies that support company growth.
• Develop and update HR policies, procedures, and best practices in line with employment laws and regulations.
• Oversee talent acquisition efforts to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
• Build and maintain a strong company culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and innovation.
• Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, and career development.
• Manage benefits, compensation structures, and performance appraisal processes.
• Monitor and report on HR metrics to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, employment law, and best practices in HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development or related field.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with HRIS such as Paylocity and with ERP solutions such as DELTEK is a plus.
• Proven experience in recruitment, employee engagement, and performance management.
• HR experience in manufacturing, federal contracting, or aerospace/defense is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing company environment.
• Travel may be required up to one week every 1-2 months to support both Franklin, NC and Huntsville, AL locations during the standup of the new Huntsville facility.
