Overview
We are seeking a versatile and driven Human Resources Specialist to join our team in our Leawood, Kansas office. Reporting to the Global Talent Acquisition Leader, this role offers the opportunity to contribute across multiple areas of the HR function. While this is a broad-based HR Specialist role, the immediate need is for strong support in US Talent Acquisition — helping drive full-cycle recruiting and onboarding — alongside contributing to other key areas of HR operations, including global HRIS data management, payroll and benefits support, employee engagement, and process improvement initiatives.
The HR Specialist will collaborate closely with our Talent Acquisition, HRIS/Payroll & Benefits, US Regional HR, and Global HR teams to support key HR processes and deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experience. This is a hands-on, operationally focused role ideal for an HR professional who brings attention to detail and a flexible approach to supporting a wide range of programs and priorities. The HR Specialist is expected to model WireCo’s Business System (WBS) behaviors in daily work.
Responsibilities
- Support US Talent Acquisition — drive full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes.
- Assist with HRIS data management, including data integrity and reporting.
- Provide payroll and benefits support in collaboration with Payroll/Benefits teams.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to process improvement projects.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, HRIS/Payroll & Benefits, US Regional HR, and Global HR teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality employee experience.
- Operate in a hands-on, detail-oriented, and flexible manner to support a wide range of HR programs and priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field OR 5–7 years of relevant HR experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an HR Specialist or HR operations role.
- Strong experience supporting talent acquisition processes (full-cycle recruiting and onboarding).
- Working knowledge of HRIS platforms; experience with ADP highly preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll and benefits processes and terminology; prior collaboration with Payroll/Benefits teams.
- Solid understanding of HR compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with HR data and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Additional Information
- This position is based full-time at our Leawood, Kansas office.
- Flexible working hours (outside of normal business hours) may be required.
- Travel, both domestically and internationally, may be required (expected ~5%).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

- Must be willing and able to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical (if required).
