Summary
The Business Analyst – Supply, Warehouse & Finance supports cross-functional initiatives by providing critical analysis of supply chain, warehouse operations, and financial data. This role partners with operations, warehouse, and finance teams to identify cost drivers, improve efficiency, and provide decision-making support. The analyst will develop actionable insights that enhance inventory accuracy, process compliance, and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to supply chain, inventory, warehouse throughput, and labor utilization.
- Partner with Finance to track, forecast, and reconcile operational costs, including labor, shipping, materials, and overhead.
- Build models to evaluate cost savings, ROI, and financial impact of process or system changes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports that integrate both operational and financial performance.
Process & Systems Improvement
- Evaluate end-to-end supply and warehouse processes, highlighting inefficiencies, risks, or redundancies.
- Collaborate with finance leadership to align process improvements with budgetary and profitability goals.
- Support ERP/WMS/financial system enhancements, testing, and data integrity efforts.
- Partner with finance and operations to ensure accurate cost allocation, inventory valuation, and variance tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between the warehouse, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to align on business objectives.
- Provide financial and operational insights to leadership during budget planning and quarterly business reviews.
- Support project teams on new product launches, financial modeling for equipment investments, or cost-benefit analysis of vendor contracts.
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure reporting and processes meet internal control, audit, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in developing SOPs that connect operational practices with financial compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Supply Chain/Finance Analyst, or similar role.
- Proficiency with Excel, ERP/WMS systems, and BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of supply chain, warehouse, and financial operations (budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting).
- Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication with the ability to explain technical and financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- CPA, CMA, or Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
- SQL or database query skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume warehouse environments.
