Overview

Avōq is seeking an Executive Assistant to support two Managing Partners & Co-Founders of the agency and to provide administrative and project support to the Government Relations team. The role uses strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills to optimize leaders’ schedules and help the team deliver results for clients. Base pay range

$45,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr What You’ll Do

Administrative: Manage the Partner’s calendars, reserve travel, schedule calls and meetings, and outline daily priorities. Coordinate as the point of contact for the Managing Partners among executives, employees, clients, and external partners (elected officials, CEOs, government relations professionals). Manage expense reporting for the Managing Partners and provide ad hoc administrative support for other senior Government Relations team members. Attend meetings and calls to track action items, add to-dos to the Partner’s schedule, and ensure next steps are completed. Project, Event, & Relationship Management

Design and implement updated organizational systems for contacts, inboxes, calendars, and other relevant digital files. Prepare briefings and pre-meeting materials to ensure the Managing Partners are well-prepared for internal and external meetings and calls. Prioritize projects and meetings; provide support to the broader Government Relations team as time allows. Coordinate Government Relations fundraisers and client events. Facilitate internal and external meetings by greeting priority guests and promoting timely starts and ends of meetings and calls. Collaborate with all agency departments to enable timely engagement with the CEO and the Partner’s executive team. Requirements

1-2 years of relevant administrative support experience, preferably in a political setting (campaign, Capitol Hill, political committee). Experience interacting with C-suite executives and/or elected officials. Ability to take initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work. Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences. Ability to quickly develop trusting relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a professional demeanor. Discretion with confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines. Willingness to assume increased responsibility as the role evolves. Occasional work outside regular hours (nights/weekends) may be required to support a key leader. Candidates need not possess every attribute listed above to qualify.
