Account Director, Programmatic Sales at Business Insider to join our Programmatic Sales Team and drive our premium programmatic business, expand our first party data offerings, and strengthen relationships with programmatic decision makers. The Role & Team
As an Account Director, Programmatic Sales you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through the sale of programmatic solutions to a portfolio of agencies, DSPs and in-house clients. You will lead targeted outreach, pitch meetings, and secure new PMP and PG deals in partnership with the Direct Sales teams. You will bridge communication between external clients and internal teams, representing Business Insider externally and coordinating with Direct Sales and Ad Operations internally.
Key Responsibilities Programmatic Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic plan to secure new programmatic deals with the direct sales team; work with Ad Operations to grow existing programmatic accounts.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with named accounts; understand goals and identify programmatic opportunities; collaborate with Direct Sales to engage new clients.
Prospecting and Outreach: Leverage relationships to promote programmatic offerings; identify new opportunities through outreach and networking; prospect open exchanges for new targets and upsell opportunities.
Intensity of Effort: Conduct weekly outreach emails to named accounts and potential clients; schedule and conduct a minimum of 5 meetings per week to present solutions and gather requirements.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Direct Sales to ensure a unified approach and seamless integration of programmatic solutions.
Campaign Management and Optimization: Collaborate with Ad Operations and Account Management to execute and optimize campaigns; provide insights to maximize ROI.
Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular performance reports and work with teams to refine programmatic offerings based on client feedback.
The Ideal Candidate Has Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Proven experience in programmatic sales within the digital media industry.
Strong understanding of programmatic advertising technologies, platforms, and industry trends.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; results-oriented with a track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Team-oriented with a collaborative approach and a will-to-win attitude.
Salary & Benefits Base salary: $120,000 - $130,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
