Job Title Director- Tax

Requirements
CPA
7+ years experience managing a team within a small to medium sized CPA firm
Lacerte system skills, or similar tax preparation software experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Preferred
Hindi language skills are a plus (most clients are of Indian or southeast Asian decent)

Job Description We are seeking a seasoned Tax Director to lead a variety of client engagements across multiple industries. This position involves managing tax compliance processes, building and maintaining client relationships, mentoring team members, and contributing to the strategic direction of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, nonprofit, and trust filings
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations
Deliver strategic tax planning and advisory services tailored to client needs
Supervise and mentor tax staff and junior accountants
Research and resolve intricate tax-related issues and questions
Collaborate with senior leadership on high-value engagements and initiatives
Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and supporting proposal development
Maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients as a trusted advisor
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s in Taxation is a plus)
Active CPA license required
10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role
Deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
Proficiency with tax preparation software (experience with Lacerte or comparable platforms preferred)
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
