We are supporting a major Utility Infrastructure Upgrade initiative driven by the growing energy demands of hyperscale data centers in the Bay Area. This high-impact program focuses on transmission line improvements and substation enhancements to ensure reliable, scalable power delivery. We are hiring multiple experienced Project Managers with backgrounds in utilities, transmission, and substation projects to support various workstreams within this program. What Youll Do Lead end-to-end delivery of transmission and/or substation upgrade projects supporting data center energy needs Develop and manage project plans, budgets, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies Coordinate across internal utility departments, engineering teams, field crews, and external contractors Ensure regulatory compliance, permitting, safety protocols, and construction standards are met throughout the project lifecycle Provide regular updates to executive stakeholders and ensure alignment with strategic goals Leverage utility best practices and tools to monitor progress, anticipate roadblocks, and drive resolution Contribute to a scalable project delivery model in a high-demand, growth-oriented environment
Who You Are
5+ years of experience in utility project management, preferably with direct experience in transmission and/or substation infrastructure Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder infrastructure programs in highly regulated environments Familiarity with utility processes, permitting requirements, outage coordination, and grid operations Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), and risk frameworks Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills PMP or similar certification is a plus
