The Apple team responsible for building Disney+ is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will contribute to building our iOS, Apple TV and Vision Pro applications for the App Store. The role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality, testable code and collaborating with product and design teams to provide a delightful viewing experience. Role Location
This is a Hybrid role requiring 4 days onsite (Monday-Thursday) in one of the following office locations: Seattle, WA New York, NY San Francisco, CA Glendale, CA Santa Monica, CA Responsibilities and Duties
Build features for iOS, tvOS and visionOS in Swift. Maintain high code quality with unit and integration tests. Regularly review code from peers for continuous improvements and knowledge sharing. Collaborate with other client platform teams to ensure a great user experience for Disney+ viewers. Specialize in Apple technologies such as UIKit, SwiftUI, and AVKit to build a world-class application. Required Education, Experience / Skills / Training
Basic Qualifications
A desire to learn and grow with the team, while sharing your insights. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. At least 5 years of industry experience in iOS software development, with 3 years using Swift. At least 5 years of experience implementing complex user interfaces with UIKit or SwiftUI. Ability to write unit-tested code as part of delivering features. Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and design pattern trade-offs (e.g., MVC, MVVM). At least 3 years of experience in agile processes. A passion for code quality. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Apples AVKit framework and HLS. Experience with reactive programming using RxSwift or Combine. Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Compensation
The hiring range for this position varies by location: San Francisco, CA: $152,100 $203,900 per year New York, NY / Seattle, WA: $145,400 $195,000 per year Bristol, CT / Santa Monica, CA: $138,900 $186,200 per year The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on level and position offered.
