Senior Director, Business Development - Special Intelligence Systems
United States, Maryland, Annapolis Junction BlueHalo, an AV Company, is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Business Development to join a mission-driven organization supporting the Intelligence Community. This role leads a high-performing, diverse business development team, cultivates relationships with key customers and stakeholders, and expands opportunities within the Intel market. The candidate will collaborate across internal teams and senior leadership, engage with external partners, and drive growth by aligning strategies and initiatives. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of IC missions, acquisitions, policies, and threats, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex environment while delivering measurable results. Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Intelligence Community (IC) and related National Security Agencies. Understand customer missions, budgets, policies, emerging threats, and acquisition plans to determine corporate growth strategies. Manage opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and metrics, including gate reviews. Contribute to proposing technology requirements and solution roadmaps; communicate with C-level executives and program leadership. Establish and maintain relationships with senior U.S. Government officials, industry partners, and key stakeholders to drive growth. Lead and support capture efforts for major government contracts, including bid and proposal development and competitive positioning. Manage BD resources and investments to achieve financial targets (e.g., B&P, IRAD, indirect staff). Build and optimize internal team productivity and processes to deliver products and solutions that satisfy customer needs. Drive innovation by integrating company technologies, methodologies, and customer capabilities to enhance mission effectiveness. Collaborate with other growth organizations and participate in Marketing & Communications (MarCom) and GovOps activities with customers, thought leaders, and potential partnerships. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Intelligence Studies, National Security, Computer Science or Engineering) or additional years of related experience in lieu of degree. 10+ years in a fast-paced environment with a focus on strategic partnerships and revenue growth. Experience with IC agencies such as NSA, CIA, NRO. Ability to formulate and implement market strategies with a mission-centric mindset translating customer requirements to solutions. Proven ability to build and manage a pipeline across select markets. Strong product management skills and attention to detail. Experience in project management including requirements analysis, resource allocation, deliverable tracking, scheduling, and financial monitoring. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in procurement processes from RFIs/RFPs to delivery coordination. Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Salary Range:
$200,000 - $250,000 The BlueHalo pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation depends on multiple factors including position level, responsibilities, location, experience, education, certifications, contract-specific requirements, and market data.
