Estimator
— Seattle, WA | Hybrid (2–3 days WFH)
We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Estimator to join a well-established, full-service general contractor with a diverse portfolio across residential, commercial, healthcare, life sciences, hospitality, and seismic renovation projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys tackling a wide variety of project types, from historic renovations and tenant improvements to large-scale multifamily and high-rise conversions.
What You’ll Do
Prepare accurate estimates and takeoffs for projects ranging from tenant improvements to $100M+ large-scale renovations
Work closely with the Director of Preconstruction, senior estimators, and project teams to develop competitive, reliable bids
Manage multiple estimates at once, adjusting quickly to shifting priorities and project types
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure project feasibility and alignment with client expectations
Leverage Autodesk’s online takeoff platform, BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, and Excel to perform detailed estimating and analysis
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators, fostering growth and knowledge-sharing across the team
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of estimating experience with strong takeoff/counting skills
Background in wood-frame buildings, commercial construction, or renovations (highly preferred)
Hands-on field experience (e.g., Assistant Superintendent, Project Engineer, or PM with estimating exposure)
Strong conceptual understanding of how construction components fit together
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not mandatory with equivalent experience)
Collaborative, approachable, and adaptable personality, able to mentor, train, and work seamlessly with others
Proficiency with Autodesk, BuildingConnected, Excel, Bluebeam, and related estimating platforms
