WA . Global Supply Chain, Transportation, & Logistics (GSCTL)
supports operations and strategy in Boeing Transportation, logistics, compliance and packaging engineering. Joining TWL will introduce you to the company\'s many operations requiring logistics support. Our Packaging Engineering Specialists are hard-working, goal-oriented and creative. We are looking for a new team member to support the compliance oversight of Dangerous Goods in Transportation. Dangerous Goods Compliance has high visibility with multiple projects in work that will transform dangerous goods oversight and reduce risk. Our team is hiring for Associate (Level 2) or Mid-Level (Level 3) Packaging Engineering Dangerous Goods Specialist.
Responsibilities
Represents the Boeing enterprise as Dangerous Goods compliance subject matter expert Oversees the training and compliance for the implementation of HM-232 (Hazardous Materials Security Plans) for the receiving, storing and shipping of hazardous materials (dangerous goods). Reviews and interprets Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations, including 49 CFR, ADG, ADR, CA TDG, NZ TDG, ICAO/IATA, IMO/IMDG. Supports interactions & responses with various DGiT regulatory agencies. Prepares the application of special permits & authors letters of interpretation requests Supports creation and continuous improvement of enterprise dangerous goods in transportation training for employees and managers. Performs Dangerous Goods audits, closure actions, and investigates dangerous goods compliance events for Boeing and Boeing suppliers. Perform performance-oriented packaging testing and design. Provides reports & metrics to leadership as well as presentation materials.

Experience ): 1+ years of experience in Dangerous Goods (DG) systems and training 1+ years of experience in dangerous goods, regulations and assessments 1+ years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications
( Desired Skills /
Experience ): Bachelor\'s degree in supply chain, Compliance related discipline 3+ years of experience working in a logistics and operations environment Experience working independently Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Working with internal and external Dangerous Goods in Transportation regulators Certifications in CFR 49 and IATA or IHMM CDGP 3+ or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
