Travis County is hiring: Elections Box Truck Driver in Austin

The Box Truck Driver is a new position within the Voting Equipment Unit that is responsible for loading, unloading, and driving 24-26 ft. box trucks with lift gates to polling sites for delivery and pickup of election equipment to Early Voting and Election Day polling sites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Load and unload election equipment using lift gate systems.
2. Drive box trucks to designated polling sites.
3. Ensure timely delivery and pickup of equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Valid driver's license.
2. Experience with loading/unloading using lift gate systems.
3. Must pass a criminal background check and driving record check.

This position lasts 3-4 weeks during election periods, averaging up to 40 hours per week with possible overtime. The pay is $25.00 per hour. Flexible hours may be available.
