Emergency Dentist
*Overview*
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice for Weekend coverage Friday -Sunday 8:45am until 7pm . The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and various dental procedures, including prosthodontics, oral surgery, and root canal therapy. The Dentist will work collaboratively with a team of dental professionals in a supportive environment that prioritizes patient care.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
* Perform a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, crowns, bridges, and root canal therapy.
* Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
* Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
* Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
* Manage pediatric patients with care and understanding to create a positive experience for children.
*Skills*
* Proficient in dental terminology and practices related to general dentistry.
* Knowledge of infection control standards and best practices in a dental office setting.
* Experience in prosthodontics, oral surgery, pediatrics, and root canal therapy is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with managing medical records efficiently within electronic health record systems like Dentrix or Epic.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all procedures.
