Job Title
Maintenance Technician
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled professional to ensure the smooth operation of our production facility by performing essential maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Preventative Maintenance:
Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) on production equipment to prevent failures and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and Repair:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. Respond to Breakdowns:
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls to troubleshoot and restore equipment operation quickly and safely. Install and Upgrade Equipment:
Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment, including performing start-up checks and making necessary adjustments. Maintain Records:
Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Ensure Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and contribute to a culture of safety. Collaborate:
Work closely with production managers and operators to understand equipment needs and proactively address potential issues. Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proven experience with preventative maintenance programs.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a strong plus. Knowledge of industrial safety procedures.
Personal Attributes:
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship. Effective communication skills for working with a team and reporting to management.
