Join a pioneering medical device company as a strategic and results-oriented Director of Supply Chain Operations, where you will have the opportunity to lead and enhance our supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, hands-on negotiator with extensive experience in medical equipment manufacturing and distribution, or related electromechanical products. A strong financial acumen is essential to optimize costs, improve margins, and contribute to the growth of our business. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Craft and implement a scalable global supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's growth and financial objectives. Assemble and lead a high-performing team in procurement, logistics, planning, and manufacturing operations. Work collaboratively across R&D, Finance, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure successful product lifecycle management and timely market entry. Procurement & Vendor Management Direct sourcing strategies, vendor qualification, contract negotiations, and performance assessments. Foster strong partnerships with OEM/CM partners to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliable delivery. Identify and manage supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies and geopolitical factors. Financial Oversight & Cost Optimization Work closely with FP&A to manage COGS, forecast material and logistics costs, and drive margin enhancement efforts. Implement inventory optimization strategies to minimize working capital while ensuring fulfillment. Conduct cost-benefit analyses, make/buy assessments, and assist in pricing strategy development. Operations & Logistics Oversee demand planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and distribution operations. Ensure compliance with medical device industry standards, including QMS (ISO 13485) and FDA requirements. Promote operational excellence through key performance metrics (KPIs), continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma), and advanced digital tools (ERP/MRP systems). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred). 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain operations, preferably within the medical device sector (not mandatory). Proven experience in managing contract manufacturers and suppliers in the U.S. Strong financial background with expertise in budgeting, margin analysis, and cost management. Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools. Outstanding leadership, negotiation, and communication abilities. Preferred Attributes: Experience in scaling supply chain operations from early-stage to commercial growth phases. Demonstrated success in building resilient supply chains in dynamic global environments. Knowledge of sustainability and ESG standards in supply chain practices.
