Job Summary Do you consider yourself skilled in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical systems?

We are looking for an individual with a diverse set of skills to perform general maintenance at our hotel. If you prefer working independently on projects, this job is for you.

Responsibilities:

Complete all work orders promptly.

Implement preventative maintenance programs for the property and equipment.

Adhere to hotel/franchise and ZMC Hotels standards.

Oversee all staff in the maintenance department.

Know and follow fire alarm and evacuation procedures.

Test and maintain water quality of swimming pools and whirlpools according to standards and health codes.

Maintain parts and supplies inventory; advise General Manager on needed items.

Inspect and maintain outside grounds, including parking lot, curbs, and landscaping.

Inspect and maintain elevators.

Follow OSHA procedures and training.

Repair furniture and structures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, windows, and bed frames.

Perform painting, touch-ups, and finishing work.

Check and repair electrical systems, plumbing systems, and other equipment.

Solicit bids from contractors and oversee work.

Complete weekly maintenance logs.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including personal appearance and team interactions.

Test and maintain all life safety systems.

Ensure security of guests, employees, and hotel assets.

Be CPR certified, SDS trained, and complete the AWAIR program.

Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Carry out all duties safely.

Be flexible and adaptable to job changes.

Treat everyone with dignity and respect.

Maintain confidentiality of company information.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift, stand, and carry tools and equipment.

Experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work.

Knowledge of general maintenance and repair.
