Job Summary:

Responsible for the proper administration, supervision and direction of the hotel’s maintenance functions to achieve an optimal physical condition of the hotel and maintain the hotel assets. Keeps every aspect of the property in good repair and maintains a high quality level of work. Responsibilities:

Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. and multiple property specific brand standards. Make sure all work orders are completed in a timely manner. Implement preventative maintenance programs for the property/equipment. Oversee any/all staff in maintenance department including hiring, training, scheduling. Knowledge of fire alarm and evacuation procedures. Test and maintain water content of swimming pool and whirlpool in accordance with Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. standards and state requirements. Maintain parts and supplies inventory, advising General Manager on items needed. Inspect, maintain, and clean outside grounds, including parking lot, curbs, and landscaping. Inspect and maintain elevators, hotel shuttle/van. Knowledge of OSHA procedures and training. Repair furniture and structures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, windows, bed frames, etc. Perform painting, touch-up painting, and finishing of furniture and building. Check electrical systems such as refrigerator controls, phone systems, televisions, lock systems, HVAC units and make repairs as necessary. Check and make repairs on general plumbing systems such as pipelines, toilets, tubs, sinks, whirlpools, pools and drains. Solicit 3 bids from contractors, discuss with General Manager, and oversee any work done. Complete weekly preventative maintenance logs as well as QA documentation. Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person. Maintain and test all life safety systems. Be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets. Be CPR certified, MSDS trained, and complete brand specific training program. Perform any other required duties as requested by the General Manager to aid in better operation of the hotel, restaurant, lounge, and service to the guests. Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc. Necessary Skills:

Have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Must be honest and work well with others. Must be able to communicate effectively by writing, telephone and personal meeting situations. Must be organized, honest, and work well with others, and have an outgoing personality. Must have good cash handling skills, able to make change, and basic computer skills. Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in a small work space; must be able to bend/stretch and lift 20 pounds. Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far. Dexterity to type, to write, and work on a computer. Must speak in a clear voice and hear at a basic level. Must keep confidential any and all financial, personal, guest and employee information to ensure the security of such.
