Nurse Manager II, OR Employer: TieTalent Location: San Francisco, CA (San Francisco Hospital - 0201) 40 hours/week Day shift MonFri (08:00 AM 04:30 PM) Job Summary
In addition to the responsibilities below, this position leads the implementation of best practice models and patient care delivery systems and practice standards across multiple locations. It involves delegating tasks related to investigating and resolving patient/family/member care concerns, facilitating collaboration with physicians and outside healthcare providers to achieve optimal and safe patient care across the continuum, proactively monitoring resource needs, and ensuring safe environments for patients and employees. The role maintains clinical expertise, provides supervision and licensing as needed, and performs clinical duties as required. Essential Responsibilities Creates and advocates for developmental opportunities; builds cross-functional relationships; solicits and acts on performance feedback; hires, trains, and develops talent; sets performance management guidelines; evaluates talent for succession planning; shares best practices across teams. Manages designated units or teams by translating business plans into action items; ensures policies and procedures are followed; partners with stakeholders to meet requirements; aligns team efforts with departmental strategies; communicates goals and incorporates resources, costs, and forecasts into plans; removes obstacles and guides performance. Manages hospital administrative functions to support patient care, including timelines for item implementation, financial compliance, ad hoc reporting, operational initiatives, and management of programs, services, and systems; oversees workplace safety, HR processes, labor relations, training, quality/risk management, and budget control. Manages care delivery operations in a 24/7 environment by developing partnerships with physicians and leaders, guiding data collection and analysis, aligning patient care management solutions, managing resources, leading multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring emergency preparedness plans are current. Leads improvements to operations and technology processes by guiding long-term strategic projects, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions; collaborates with senior leadership on strategic plans and aligns metrics with organizational initiatives. Ensures safe, quality, and standardized care delivery by driving continuous improvement of clinical practices, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and designing systems to evaluate and improve patient care across the continuum.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years of experience in patient care delivery. Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) and minimum five (5) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or a related field. Minimum four (4) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports. Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire Basic Life Support required at hire
