NeoGenomics is looking for a Software Test Engineer who wants to learn to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is a hybrid position working out of the Aliso Viejo, CA laboratory with a Monday Friday day shift. As a Software Test Engineer, you'll collaborate with the QA Lead to define strategy and process to develop both exploratory and automated tests in line with existing functional aspects of the test effort. You'll be responsible for the design and development of functional and automated testing using tools like Azure DevOps (VSTS) as an Application Lifecycle Management solution and Selenium Web Driver, Coded UI, NUnit, SpecFlow for automation tasks. You'll create, execute, and maintain test cases and automate as needed. In addition, you'll be responsible for assisting in the creation of reporting metrics associated with the automation tests. Responsibilities:
Perform exploratory and functional tests Implement and develop automated test practices for web applications primarily using Selenium WebDriver for our database driven web application to drive regression testing as well as continuous integration Design and create test scripts to address areas such as database impacts, business use-case scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, performance, and load testing Collaborate with software engineers on performance testing strategies and results Participate in code reviews and coach other employees in automation efforts Use Azure DevOps to create bugs; collaborate with the development team throughout the issue resolution phase Compile test results into reports/dashboards for applicable audiences Work with QA Lead, Manager and colleagues to define process and strategy associated with automation Experience, Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required 5+ years of experience in QA and Software Testing to include but not limited to unit, integration, system, smoke, interface, regression, and user acceptance testing. 3+ years working with analytics platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, etc. Strong skills in Selenium WebDriver and dynamic data-driven test suites Experience with Visual Studio, Azure DevOps (VSTS), Git, Coded UI, Microsoft Test Manager, TeamCity, NUnit, Postman/SoapUI, Performance/Load testing tools such as JMeter, as well as SQL Experience testing .NET or JavaScript-based web applications and services, as well as windows-based desktop applications Ability to read detailed test cases and produce solid, repeatable coded tests that can run in a continuous integration environment Familiarity with Agile and working knowledge of Scrum Experience with GitHub or similar source code management tools All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
