Food Pantry Volunteer

Event Description Our pantry is stocked with a wide variety of dry and liquid non-perishable goods thanks to donations from many generous local community organizations, businesses, and individuals. Our food pantry serves hundreds of households each month, and is an irreplaceable resource in our community. Volunteer Responsibilities Stock our pantry shelves. Receive pantry deliveries. Distribute perishable and non-perishable goods to our neighbors experiencing hunger. Socialize with Guests to create an atmosphere of welcome. Volunteer Competencies Empathy, patience, and compassion. The ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment. Being a team player. The ability to lift 10 pounds. Private Group Details: Group Size Range: 1 - 50+ Event can be held at organization location(s) Donation Requested Groups normally donate between $2,500 and $4,000 per day of service, but donations are not mandatory.
