What You Will Experience In This Position: Your experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op goes beyond the day-to-day of your role. In addition to the support of your manager, you can expect to grow and develop through exposure to leadership, engaging in development opportunities, and networking with other early career professionals. Training & Development: Training and development is provided throughout your internship through on-the-job experiences and structured learning opportunities, fostering the development of business acumen and leadership skills at a global organization. Community: Join a community of other early career professionals as you launch your career. A peer-led committee helps to organize social, professional and service-related activities and events for interns and early career professionals. You will also be invited to join our Employee Resource Groups (ERG's) which offer special events, networking, professional development and volunteer opportunities throughout the year to promote inclusion and respect and to help us embrace our diversity. Mentorship & Networking: Build a network of peers, managers, and senior leaders to support your career path and aid your growth. Gain exposure to nVent professionals at every level who will act as formal and informal mentors during your internship. As a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op you will get to: Assist with project management activities to support manufacturing. Learn manufacturing processes to recommend and implement new solutions. Assist with moves of production areas or equipment. Work and resolve quality issues affecting product or manufacturing methods. Provide input on production layouts utilizing lean tools and methods to eliminate waste. Analyze and interpret data to make decisions on project implementation. Work with operators, team leaders and value stream planners to optimize process center layouts and designs, incorporating material flow and line balancing. Provide manufacturing cycle time readings to improve manufacturing routings and labor standards. Support the promotion of lean culture in the organization by working with business areas to complete events and projects required to implement Future State Plans. Learn and apply lean principles and tools for implementing creative solutions for system and process improvements. Tools include but are not limited to Standard work, 3-P, TPM, SMED, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, 5S. Participate in cross-functional lean Kaizen events to broaden expertise and apply lean methods to eliminate waste. Participate in the coordination of periodic updates of progress during events. Use Lean techniques to aid in performance of process reviews and establishing standardized work procedures. Program Details: Interns and Co-ops are paid hourly for time worked at a rate of $25.00 per hour. Relocation and housing support is available for eligible candidates. Interns and Co-ops receive paid time off, paid sick time, paid volunteer time, and paid holidays. Interns and Co-ops who demonstrate outstanding performance may be offered a subsequent internship/co-op or full-time offer of employment with nVent. Location: The Manufacturing Engineering Co-op is located in Anoka, Minnesota. You Have: Required Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology graduating between December 2026 and May 2028 (Juniors and Seniors preferred) Minimum 1 semester SolidWorks & AutoCAD Previous work and/or internship experience Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in Anoka, MN for the duration of the Co-Op experience (relocation assistance for those who qualify) Good project management and organizational skills Interest in learning facilitation of groups 2 Proficient personal computer skills (Microsoft Office Products, CAD software etc.) Excellent communication and presentation skills, including strong active listening skills. Proven ability to analyze, interpret and draw meaningful and accurate conclusions from data.
