Embedded Software Engineer

As our next Embedded Software Engineer, you'll immerse yourself in Strategic Nuclear Deterrence, bringing your acumen to the forefront of innovation and ensuring the efficacy and security of systems that are vital to national defense. You do not need to have previous comms or nuclear experience; we will provide the training and tools to help grow the skills you will need to become a subject matter expert. You will learn from the best and brightest in the comms and nuclear deterrence domain working at Collins Aerospace. What You Will Do: You will provide direct support to stakeholders to answer questions and solve technical issues. You will develop design and implement software that satisfies customer and certification needs. You will produce high-quality software builds in an integrated test environment. You will derive software requirements, create UML design diagrams, and code solutions from UML design diagrams. You will assist in the software requirements verification and test phases. Qualifications You Must Have: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships). The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer: C/C++ or Java programming knowledge Familiar with software engineering processes and methodologies Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum, automated testing, and continuous integration. Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Experience in developing complex systems and applications using C/C++, Java, Python or other object-oriented programming language. Experience with operating systems.
