Job Summary:
We are seeking a
Mortgage Loan Processor
to support mortgage originators by organizing and preparing loan files for underwriting and closing. This position involves coordinating loan closings with title companies and clients, preparing loan documents for final approval, and shipping completed files to investors. The Mortgage Loan Processor will also handle tasks such as running credit, preparing denials, filing mortgages, and preparing loan extensions and documents.
Compensation : This position offers a competitive pay rate of
$20 per hour .
Essential Functions:
Loan Processing: Review loans in process daily and determine which loans need to be processed immediately.
Data Entry: Enter data from new loan applications and other necessary documents into the system.
Order Services: Order credit reports, appraisals, flood certifications, and title work to support loan processing.
Document Handling: Send required documents to appropriate parties (e.g., disclosures, verifications).
Data Verification: Enter verifications, underwriting judgments, and other required data.
Underwriting Support: Refer loans that do not meet basic standards to the staff underwriter for further review.
Follow-up: Regularly follow up with loan originators, borrowers, and agents to complete loan processing.
File Analysis: Analyze loan files and submit completed loans for approval.
Inquiries: Answer inquiries from originators, agents, and borrowers regarding the status of loans in process.
Compliance: Ensure that all compliance requirements are met throughout the loan processing and approval stages.
Requirements (Education, Experience):
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Prior experience in loan processing is required.
Additional: Completion of OBA Loan Classes or similar mortgage industry training preferred.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and bank personnel.
Mortgage Knowledge: Understanding of legal, real estate, and mortgage lending terms.

This is a sedentary role that involves the following physical activities:
Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, and stooping.
Frequent repetitive motions, including typing and using a computer.
Good finger dexterity and visual acuity are required.
Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment, with a typical 40-hour workweek.
