Senior Project Manager - Low Voltage & Building Technology Locations: Nashville, TN, US; Houston, TX, US; Atlanta, GA, US; Dallas, TX, US; Kansas City, MO, US. Travel up to 75% to projects across the United States is required. Role supports the National Healthcare Division based out of Nashville, TN. Role Summary
The Senior Aptitude Project Manager provides regional direction and leadership for the Aptitude program across all project lifecycle phases. Responsibilities include strategic direction, operational excellence, financial management, team leadership, stakeholder relationship management, contracting and business development, and comprehensive risk management to meet contractual and financial targets. All activities support the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn. Autonomy & Decision Making: Makes decisions within defined limits of authority and consults supervisor on other decisions. Aptitude Project Management Family Core Supports all aspects of the companys safety culture and demonstrates commitment to an injury-free environment. Coordinate technology-related design and construction efforts to meet constructability, quality, financial and technical standards. Provide technical expertise related to design assist, installation, and network integration of complete and related systems. Create technology-specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices tailored to individual projects. Perform quantity takeoffs and obtain vendor & trade partner pricing to compile budgets or hard bid proposals. Manage budgets, costs and projections related to assigned projects. Assist with the development, dissemination, accountability and discipline of Aptitude processes and standards. Lead, coach and motivate team members in a proactive manner consistent with JE Dunns Objectives and Core Values. Support the deployment of Aptitude strategies for project delivery to achieve objectives. Participate in companywide communication programs and strategy sessions to enhance market, sale and delivery of technology-related services. Manage budgets, schedule, staffing projections, billing and collections for assigned projects. Develop and manage a project plan and schedule to achieve project objectives (scope, schedule, cost, quality). Track and report progress on milestones with team members and stakeholders. Communicate, track and resolve issues throughout the life of the project. Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation. Ensure all project documents are properly managed and archived upon project completion. Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core SENIOR APTITUDE PROJECT MANAGER In addition, this position will be responsible for the following: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications. Engage local civic organizations and municipalities to establish Aptitude offerings as a differentiator for JE Dunn. Manage technology consulting processes between JE Dunn and client/owners consultants and contractors; initiate business development activities to grow Aptitude contributions. Provide oversight of Aptitude strategic direction including resource management, financial management, client development, and growth strategies. Provide oversight as the regional relationship executive (base job team). Serve as escalation point for all projects, financial, business development, contractual and client relationship risk; conduct risk assessments and implement solutions. Ensure staffing levels align with commitments, schedules and growth strategies; review resource management plans as needed. Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders and Project Executives to develop and evaluate business plans and operational decisions for performance goals. Develop, communicate and lead organizational communication on Aptitude integration as part of regional self-perform strategies. Develop new team members by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner Communication skills, verbal and written Intermediate Ability to conduct effective presentations Proficiency in MS Office Intermediate Ability to develop project proposals, fees and work plans Strong personal and interpersonal skills as a self-starter with follow-through Thorough knowledge of project processes and how they support successful completion Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through relationships Ability to build relationships with team members beyond a project Education
Bachelors degree in construction management, IT or related field (Required) In lieu of the above, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Experience
10+ years experience in Information Technology/Security/Life Safety related systems (Required) 8+ years of project management experience (Required) Working Environment
Valid and unrestricted drivers license required Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds May require periods of travel and/or relocation Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold) Assignment location may include project sites and/or in the office Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling Benefits Information
