The Senior Aptitude Project Manager will lead the Aptitude program across all project phases, providing strategic direction, operational excellence, financial management, team leadership, and stakeholder relationship management. The role involves driving contracting, business development, and risk management to meet or exceed contractual and financial targets, aligned with JE Dunns strategy, vision, and values. Key Responsibilities
Support safety culture and promote an injury-free environment. Coordinate design and construction efforts for technology systems ensuring standards are met. Provide technical expertise on design assist, installation, and network integration. Create scopes of work and responsibility matrices. Perform quantity takeoffs, obtain vendor and trade partner pricing, and develop budgets or proposals. Manage project budgets, costs, and projections. Develop and enforce Aptitude processes and standards. Lead, coach, and motivate team members. Support project delivery strategies to achieve financial, quality, and performance goals. Participate in communication programs to market and deliver technology services. Manage project schedules, resources, budgets, and reporting. Track progress, resolve issues, and evaluate project performance. Ensure proper documentation and archiving of project files. Additional Responsibilities
Maintain professional knowledge through continuous learning and networking. Engage with civic organizations and municipalities to promote Aptitude offerings. Manage technology consulting processes and initiate business development. Oversee strategic direction, resource management, and risk mitigation. Develop staffing plans and participate in business planning. Lead organizational communication and team development. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in construction management, IT, or related field (required). 10+ years in IT/Security/Life Safety systems (required). 8+ years of project management experience (required). Skills & Abilities
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Ability to develop proposals, manage budgets, and build client relationships. Knowledge of project processes and safety culture. Work Environment & Benefits
Position based out of Nashville, TN, with extensive travel (up to 75%). Must hold a valid drivers license and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
