About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Administrative Assistant to support our team and work directly with one of our key Managed Service Provider (MSP) clients. This hybrid role requires a unique blend of administrative skills and technical proficiency. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable working with various IT tools, and capable of communicating effectively with both technical teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and the MSP client, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Assist in the coordination and tracking of IT assets (hardware/software), including procurement, assignment, and decommissioning.
  • Generate, compile, and analyze weekly/monthly reports on ticket statuses, asset inventory, service level performance, and project updates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to client systems, equipment records, and administrative procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, service calls, and project timelines with clients and internal teams.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes from an administrative and technical tracking perspective.
  • Perform general office duties such as managing supplies, maintaining filing systems (digital and physical), and supporting team logistics.
  • Assist in basic technical tasks (e.g., creating user accounts, updating spreadsheets, following IT checklists) under guidance from technical teams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and client-specific standards for documentation and data security.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years in an administrative or operations support role; experience in a technical or MSP environment a strong plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, ServiceNow) or similar platforms.
  • Comfort with technology and willingness to learn technical concepts (asset tagging, inventory management, basic IT workflows).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management (ITAM) practices is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with MSPs or IT support teams.
  • Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management tools.
  • Basic understanding of networking, user accounts, or system permissions.
