Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue by developing and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses, organizations, and travel partners. This role focuses on increasing occupancy and growing group and corporate business through proactive sales efforts, strategic planning, and customer relationship management. The Sales Manager represents the Fairfield Inn brand with professionalism and a commitment to excellence in guest service. Key Responsibilities:

Proactively solicit new business through cold calling, outside sales calls, networking, and referrals. Manage and grow existing client relationships, ensuring repeat business and high customer satisfaction. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed budgeted revenue goals. Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system. Conduct regular account reviews to identify new opportunities or shifts in client needs. Prepare proposals and contracts, ensuring adherence to brand and hotel standards. Monitor local market trends and competitor activity to identify business opportunities. Collaborate with the General Manager and Area Sales leadership to develop promotions and packages. Attend industry events and participate in local business organizations (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, CVB). Work closely with the front desk, operations, and revenue management teams to ensure smooth group bookings and excellent guest experiences. Participate in weekly revenue and sales strategy meetings/Calls. Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts for management review. Track performance against goals and adjust strategies accordingly. Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred; Marriott brand experience a plus. Strong knowledge of the Windsor Locks, Hartford, or Greater Springfield market is highly desirable. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales CRM platforms (SalesPro, CI/TY, or equivalent). Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for local travel. Benefits:
