We are passionate about your career Volt is immediately hiring for a System Engineer - Test Equipment Engineering (Secret Cleared) As a System Engineer you are accountable to coordinate across all engineering teams to define, design, and document Test Environment capabilities and requirements. You must be a systems thinker, able to see the “big picture”, and have the in-depth knowledge of development, production, User Operations, and embedded test process and practices. As a Systems Engineer, you must know how prime hardware should be tested at every level (from component to All-Up-Round) to ensure robustness and efficiency. This person will test client’s equipment products and will be responsible for all elements of the development of the lifecycle for testing including test requirements and test system design. This Systems Engineer is required to come onsite Monday to Friday at the client’s office in Tucson, AZ Responsibilities You must demonstrate applied experience and working knowledge of developmental test process, test set-ups and integration, test equipment design with transition to the factory, and verification / validation of product hardware using proven test systems, methodologies, and techniques. Additionally, you must demonstrate the ability to identify and understand technology risks and system design concepts to make critical technical outcomes by understanding impacts to the program. Utilize your knowledge of models, simulations, test beds, prototypes, hardware integration, hardware manufacturing, warfighter (User) methodologies, embedded test protocols, and full-scale Engineering Development Models (EDM’s) to ensure comprehensive lifecycle testing is both robust and affordable. Broad customer interaction including Department of Defense (DoD) contract work Understand and define specialized capital investment needs. Intense focus on ‘customer affordability’, by using effective cost measurement techniques Drive improvements in product affordability through increased built-in-test capabilities and decreased lifecycle Mentor and guide team through new project implementation at the Integrated Product Team Lead level for a Major Development Acquisition Program This is a Full Time - Contract W2 opportunity. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelors in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of four (4) years of experience directly related engineering experience (or a STEM Masters with 2 years’ experience) Systems Engineering experience in test requirements development, test planning, test techniques, test methodologies test requirements documents, embedded functional test, and integration, verification, and validation for test. Experience demonstrating a systems engineering approach for all test-related activities throughout the product lifecycle. Working knowledge of Systems Engineer standard views such as Block Diagram Definitions, Context Diagrams, Use Cases, Sequence Diagrams, Flow Diagrams. Knowledge of Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS). Experience with development, environmental, qualification, production, production, manufacturing operations testing. Experience in developing, decomposing, and managing systems requirements across a product lifecycle such as design and transition to production. Experience in testing various equipment’s, Components and hardware at every level.
