Description for the Business Intelligence Analyst role. Remote position with consideration for candidates located in AK, WA, MT, OR, CA, TX or NM. The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for designing, creating, and managing BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. This role assesses data from the patient engagement center to propose workflow changes and optimization opportunities, serves as a key point of contact for IS and IT partners, and contributes to patient engagement center project tracking and coordination. A background in data analysis and strong business acumen are required. The BI Analyst should be analytical and an excellent communicator. The goal is to enhance our business intelligence capabilities to help Providence make better, more informed decisions. Major Challenges

Loading, translating, and merging data from multiple sources to prepare datasets for analysis and determine the most accurate data to present for decision making. Preparing documentation of analytic steps to enable easier and more accurate replication. Prioritizing multiple high-priority projects to meet deadlines. Attention to detail for technical programming and statistical analysis. Identifying errors and discrepancies in reports. Balancing scientific rigor with concise and timely analysis and reports. Aligning and presenting trends and themes in data to opportunities for workflow optimization. Assisting in tracking Patient Engagement Center project progression and serving as a point of contact for key stakeholder partners. Essential functions

Translate business needs to technical specifications Design, build, and deploy BI solutions Maintain and support data analytics platforms Create tools to store data Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting Evaluate and improve existing BI systems Collaborate with teams to integrate systems Develop and execute database queries and conduct analysis Create visualizations and reports for requested projects Develop and update technical documentation Present data trends and observations alongside proposals for workflow optimizations Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in quantitative fields such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field 1 year of experience in an analytic or technical role working with multiple data systems Proven experience with database management, statistical representation of data, and spreadsheet/word processing software 1 year of experience in programming using SQL Experience using data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, etc. Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data mining Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in a related field may apply to applicable years of experience Insurance experience Salary Range by Location
