About YCCA
At Yolo County Children's Alliance (YCCA), our vision is simple but powerful: to protect and empower children by strengthening families. We believe that thriving families are the foundation of thriving communities. Since our founding, we have served as a trusted hub for support, education, and advocacy in Yolo County.
As the county's designated Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC), YCCA has grown into a leader in family support and community collaboration. Today, our programs touch thousands of lives each year, guided by three pillars: Family Support, Parent Education and Community Collaboration. We don't just provide services - we build pathways for lasting change.
About the We Prosper Catalyst Program
The We Prosper Catalyst Program is a one-year pilot initiative (August 2025 - September 2026) designed to close opportunity gaps and open doors to good jobs for young people and families.
This program is part of a larger regional effort, We Prosper Together, which unites partners across the Capital Region to create an economy that works for everyone. A key finding in the Regional Plan is that too many communities remain disconnected from high-quality jobs. We Prosper Catalyst directly addresses that challenge by piloting a Community Health Worker (CHW) career pathway for BIPOC youth and young mothers (ages 17-25) from communities historically left out of workforce opportunities.
By providing childcare, transportation, mentorship, culturally responsive training, and income supports, this program aims to break down barriers that often prevent participants from completing career training. The ultimate goal: help participants secure meaningful employment while demonstrating a replicable model for inclusive workforce pathways.
About the Role
The Project Coordinator will serve as the day-to-day lead for the We Prosper Catalyst pilot. This role is critical to achieving the program's ambitious goals, including a 75% participant retention rate - and ensuring that every milestone is reached.
This is more than just coordination. As Project Coordinator, you will be at the center of a bold, community-driven effort to help young people and parents achieve stability, build careers, and envision brighter futures.
What You'll Do
Your days will be dynamic, collaborative, and impactful. Responsibilities include:
Recruitment & Enrollment: Design and implement a recruitment plan to bring in 20 pilot participants and 6 control group members. Ensure outreach is accessible, equitable, and rooted in community connections.
Cohort Management: Lead onboarding, orientation, and ongoing engagement for CHW participants. You'll maintain strong communication (texts, calls, check-ins) to keep participants connected and supported.
Program Coordination: Create and manage program calendars, workplans, and task lists. Keep the project on track, adapting timelines when needed to hit milestones on schedule.
Barrier Reduction: Coordinate supports such as childcare, transportation, and emergency resources so participants can focus on learning and career development.
Partner Collaboration: Work directly with Los Rios Community College, All Leaders Must Serve (ALMS) mentors, and employer partners to align training, mentorship, and career opportunities.
Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate participant records in Salesforce, track outcomes, and prepare reports that inform funders and program partners.
Event & Meeting Support: Organize and support cohort sessions, advisory board meetings, and employer engagement events.
Community Engagement: Represent YCCA and We Prosper Catalyst at community events, helping to raise awareness and connect families to resources.
