Job Summary

Provide a variety of administrative and support services for the College of Dental Medicine's Office of Academic Affairs Administration, Senior Staff, Faculty and students.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Good computer skills necessary to set up document formats in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and any other software program required by this position Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively and professionally interact with administration, faculty, staff, and students. Experience in creating schedules of activities, preferably in an academic setting Language ability to produce clear and concise reports; reasoning ability to problem solve quickly Must be able to prioritize and schedule opportunity for resolution of problems Required Qualifications

Education:

Associate of Arts/Science Degree or combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience:

Minimum of 2 years administrative experience required. Preferred Qualifications

Education:

BA/BS preferred. Experience:

Prefer a minimum of 4 years administrative/clerical or equivalent experience. Preference will be given to those who possess experience in an academic environment

Essential Job Duties

Key Responsibilities

Provides support for the Office of Academic Affairs, administration, senior staff, and faculty to include calendar management, travel plans, meeting requests, create reports, correspondence, answer, and direct calls, planning and coordination, preparing agendas, setting up technology needs, IT troubleshooting, ordering, and purchasing food, event set-up and staffing, preparing committee data reports as necessary. Key Responsibilities

Provides support to all CDM Committees and Student Affairs to include preparing agendas, setting up technology needs, IT troubleshooting, ordering and purchasing food, event set-up and staffing, preparing committee data reports as necessary; assisting in preparation and staffing of Student Affairs events related to the College of Dental Medicine (such as Convocation, Commencement and other social events) which may require early mornings, late evening and/or weekends as scheduled and approved, purchasing and delivery of food, beverages and other items needed for events. Provides administrative support to Assistant/Associate Deans as needed. Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the set up and maintenance of tagging of Institutional Learning Objectives and Program Learning Objectives, assists in securing access for new hires to all software and computer systems, creation and management of assessment data analysis and reports, and assists with special projects such as providing training to all faculty in software usage (SharePoint site maintenance, ExamSoft, Turning Point, Academic Progress Portal, Google Calendar, Google docs, etc. Key Responsibilities

Provides support to the faculty in the construction, delivery, proctoring, and analysis of examinations including creation of SharePoint sites, setting up technology needs for faculty and/or students for use during assessment activities, troubleshooting IT issues during delivery and proctoring of assessment activities, preparing question performance reports for exams, assisting in the construction, delivery and proctoring of OSCE's, clinical exams and other assessment activities. Provides student support in the processing of absence requests, follow up with student remediation assignments and providing attendance reports as necessary, as well as maintenance of student curriculum calendars on Google Calendar and/or Google Docs. Key Responsibilities

Work Schedule

Must be able to work consistently Monday -Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM with the possibility of some evening and weekend hours.

Expected Pay Scale

Minimum $23.55 Hourly

Maximum $25.34 Hourly
