Take guest orders and describe food and beverage menu items to guests with clear, vivid descriptions of origin, taste, and preparation methods Communicate guest orders, including any special needs, to the kitchen and bar using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food and beverage timings Check completed kitchen orders against guests’ original orders and transport items to the guest table or lounge in a timely manner to ensure quality Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond promptly to guest concerns Adapt to the guest and create a customized experience for a variety of local guests, international travelers, and residents Close guest checks accurately; process cash and credit card payments; settle voided checks or complimentary meals Break down, clean, and set up tables and chairs; work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors Assist with responsibilities in the absence of others or during heavy volume in Food & Beverage as needed Qualifications and Skills
Experience working 2-3 years in Food & Beverage with prior server experience Thrives in a fast-paced, large team environment Ability to stand continuously for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort Flexible schedule — able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays Strong oral presentation skills and the ability to carry and balance a tray Ability to process cash and credit card transactions accurately Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, demanding environment Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations and guests Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English Benefits
