Contract Details:
- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 12 months
- Start: September 15, 2025
- End: September 11, 2026
- Pay Rate: $40-$46/hr
- Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (some flexibility)
The Project Manager oversees capital and expense projects across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire, ensuring successful execution within scope, schedule, and budget. This role requires close collaboration with Customer Group leadership, Regulatory, IT, and business teams, ensuring all phases of projects are well-documented and communicated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of projects, including research, benchmarking, scope definition, cost estimation, risk analysis, benefits identification, and metrics for success.
- Develop project authorization documents, establish teams, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
- Provide status updates, reports, and communications to stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams, addressing schedule challenges, dependencies, execution risks, and resource constraints.
- Develop and oversee project charters, schedules, and communication plans.
- Manage change control methodologies and risk quantification.
- Implement and document Change Management strategies.
- Collaborate with business, legal, and risk teams to align with regulatory, legal, and utility environments.
- 2-3 years of project management experience (agile and waterfall)
- Strong facilitation and communication skills (oral, written, public speaking)
- Successful track record in Project/Program Management
- Experience with project management software and applications
- Process mapping and customer journey mapping
- Experience in regulated industries, preferably electric/gas utilities
- Strong collaboration across departments
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Ability to communicate complex issues simply and effectively
- Formal Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent)
- Customer-centric approach to business problem solving
- Scenario analysis and risk quantification
- Change Management strategy execution
- Familiarity with financial, strategic, and operational assumptions
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field (required)
- PMP certification or equivalent coursework/designation (preferred)
