Project Manager/Electrician (ND-Licensed)

Currently seeking a North Dakota licensed Journeyman to serve as a Project Manager/Electrician for RK Electric LLC. This role combines field expertise with project leadership owning scheduling, material procurement, coordination with clients and inspectors, crew oversight, and quality/safety compliance on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This position is located in Bismarck, ND. Relocation is not provided.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager/Electrician:

• Plan, schedule, and oversee multiple projects; coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and subcontractors.
• Read and interpret blueprints, one-lines, specifications, and submittals; verify scope and code compliance.
• Lead and mentor crews; set expectations for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate with owners/GCs, inspectors, and vendors; attend site meetings and manage RFIs and change orders.
• Track job progress, cost codes, labor hours, and material usage; support accurate billing and documentation.
• Perform hands-on Journeyman-level work as needed to keep projects on schedule.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, state/local codes, company procedures, and safety requirements.
• Perform all other electrical duties as assigned.

Monday - Friday, during busy seasons potential Saturdays

Requirements of the Project Manager/Electrician:

• High School diploma or GED (required).
• Active North Dakota Journeyman Electrician License (required).
• Strong knowledge of NEC and state/local electrical codes.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with scheduling, material takeoffs, vendor coordination, and documentation; basic proficiency with office software.
• Valid Drivers License and clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed).
• Ability to pass a background check.
