Job Description
?1. Team Support and Enablement: o Support teams in delivering business value by managing resources, tools, and processes. o Foster a culture of trust, empowerment, and ownership among team members. o Shield the team from external interruptions or unnecessary bureaucracy. 2. Facilitating Agile Practices: o Organize and lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. o Ensure Agile principles and practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) are understood and followed effectively. 3. Delivery Management: o Track team progress and delivery against timelines and objectives. o Identify risks, dependencies, and impediments early, and work on mitigation strategies. o Maintain a focus on continuous delivery and improvement. 4. Stakeholder Engagement: o Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog based on business value. o Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to stakeholders and leadership. o Manage expectations and ensure transparency about delivery timelines and outcomes. 5. Metrics and Reporting: o Use Agile metrics (velocity, lead time, cycle time, etc.) to monitor team performance. o Provide actionable insights based on data to drive improvements in the delivery process. 6. Continuous Improvement: o Encourage teams to reflect and adapt through regular retrospectives and feedback loops. o Promote a culture of learning and innovation within the organization. o Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency. 7. Cross-Team Collaboration: o Coordinate with other Agile teams to manage dependencies and shared objectives. o Foster communication and alignment across different parts of the organization.
Skills and Qualities of an Agile Delivery Manager: • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.). • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. • Strong leadership and servant leadership mindset. • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Proficiency in tools like Jira, Trello, or other Agile project management tools. • Analytical mindset for tracking metrics and driving improvements.
