Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position is available for a School Social Worker serving K-12 students in Gurnee, IL. This role offers the opportunity to support the social-emotional development and well-being of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels within a collaborative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social work services, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and community agencies to address students social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement intervention plans that promote positive student outcomes
- Advocate for students welfare and access to resources
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with policies and regulations
Qualifications:
- Illinois State Licensure as a School Social Worker (Professional Educator License, PEL)
- Experience or demonstrated interest in working with K-12 student populations
- Strong commitment to fostering positive social-emotional growth in children and adolescents
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
