Position Overview:
Our Client, a leader in the cybersecurity space, is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to manage and optimize our IT infrastructure. This role involves advanced technical expertise in networking, virtualization, database administration, and high availability/disaster recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with self-hosted environments and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: $120-$150k + benefits + bonus (flexible/based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Networking:
2. Configure and manage Dell networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, access points).
3. Design and implement VLANs, routing, and subnetting for efficient traffic management.
4. Ensure network high availability using HA configurations (e.g., HSRP, VRRP, LACP).
5. Utilize network monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow).
6. Virtualization (Hyper-V):
7. Manage virtual machines, resource allocation, and optimize performance.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve issues within a virtualized environment.
9. SQL Server Administration:
10. Administer and optimize SQL Server databases, including high availability configurations.
11. Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and implement backup strategies.
12. Load Balancers:
13. Configure and maintain hardware and software load balancers (e.g., F5, HAProxy).
14. Implement advanced Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancing techniques.
15. Systems Administration:
16. Manage Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
17. Automate processes with PowerShell scripting and oversee system monitoring tools.
18. Support Linux systems where required.
19. Security:
20. Enforce network security principles, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
21. Implement secure communication protocols and access controls (e.g., RBAC, MFA).
22. High Availability & Disaster Recovery:
23. Design and maintain HA/DR architectures for hardware and software systems.
24. Plan and execute disaster recovery procedures.

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles in complex environments.
• Expertise in self-hosted and on-premises systems administration.
• Proficiency in Dell networking equipment, Hyper-V, SQL Server, and load balancing.
• Strong knowledge of HA/DR solutions and cybersecurity best practices.
• Certifications in relevant areas (Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, F5) are a plus.
• Familiarity with automation tools (PowerShell, Ansible) and cloud integration.
