Employer will not sponsor for employment Visa status The mission of the Division of Safety and Operations is to provide a safe and secure campus environment for all members of the university community. This mission is achieved through active participation of all university members and partnerships with local law enforcement and community partners. The George Washington University Division of Safety and Operations aims to be the nations premier provider of safety and security preparedness for an institution of higher education. The Driver, GW Safe Ride supports the campus transportation driving service by operating Safe Ride vehicles, driving sedans and 10-12 passenger vans, and using GW mobile apps. The core responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Drive Safe Ride vehicles that transport GW students, staff and faculty to desired locations within service borders. Actively report any suspicious activity during hours of operation. Properly use driver app to accept rider requests. Safely drive and transport passengers. Adhere to all posted speed limits and follow all distracted driver restrictions. Ensure that vehicle(s) are fueled and that vehicle performance issues are immediately reported to a supervisor. Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections using GW mobile app. Perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/ GED, or a Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a valid drivers license. Preferred Qualifications: Able to safely operate a 10-12 passenger van and pass a road test to verify skill level prior to hire. Job Details
