Principal System Administrator in Infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborates with many teams to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. What You Will Do: Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment. Collaborate in a fast-paced environment, using troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues, including hardware and OS integration, while adapting to evolving challenges as part of a team. Working with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned. Develop solutions and documentation about a variety of technical problems. Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date Full time 100% Onsite position Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience. Must have an active transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance or prior SCI/program eligibility prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have experience with Linux systems administration Experience with one of the following: Solaris, Windows, VMWare Experience with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, VMware Tanzu or similar. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with Ansible. Experience with Unix/Solaris 11. VMware expertise desired. Experienced mentoring individuals and teams. Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140/8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification. Ability to obtain 3 months. Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF. Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
