Overview
Koniag Emerging Technologies (KET), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Administrative Assistant I to support KET and our government customer in the Metro DC area. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Responsibilities
Provide administrative support including receiving and screening calls and visitors, managing travel arrangements, preparing correspondence, maintaining files and records, and handling time and attendance records.
Input staff members\' and witness travel authorizations and vouchers into the Agency\'s travel system; monitor authorization and voucher processing; advise staff on travel policies and procedures.
Prepare and type outgoing correspondence, ensure format, procedural and grammatical accuracy, and ensure documents are cleared by appropriate staff.
Establish, organize, and maintain files for easy retrieval.
Maintain accurate Employee Master Time and Attendance Records on a bi-weekly basis and ensure proper documentation; liaise with HR to resolve discrepancies; secure Time and Attendance materials.
Arrange for copying and handle other administrative matters per office procedures.
Coordinate meetings, examinations, and depositions including space, time, and attendees; prepare background material and notes or reports as required.
Receive and route incoming mail; forward relevant items and background material to appropriate staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Associate\'s degree from an accredited institution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
U.S. citizenship or legal U.S. resident for positions inside the U.S.; for positions outside the U.S., any citizenship (U.S., Third Country National, and Local National) is allowable.
Zero to two years of experience in a relevant field.
Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and style.
Experience using telephone and voicemail systems.
Desired Skills and Competencies
Experience in a government or defense industry environment with understanding of regulations and compliance.
Experience with office equipment (copiers, fax, postage meters).
Knowledge of data entry procedures and database management.
Familiarity with common internet applications.
Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills.
