In this role, you will support substation communications and corporate network infrastructure, working across routing, switching, and circuit management to ensure secure, reliable connectivity for mission-critical systems. Overview
Location: Raleigh, NC (Downtown). Employment type: Full-time. Seniority level: Mid-Senior level. Responsibilities Support substation communications networks (SCADA and corporate) and maintain connectivity to the energy control center Design, configure, and troubleshoot circuits leveraging a variety of transport methods (cellular, leased, etc.) Perform hands-on routing and switching engineering with Cisco technologies Ensure compliance with NERC CIP standards through required training and security best practices Document network architecture, configurations, and processes for cross-team knowledge sharing Collaborate closely with peer engineers, architects, and controls teams to deliver reliable networking solutions Provide ongoing support for change management and incident response related to substation and enterprise networking
Qualifications
57 years of professional experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco routing and switching Strong understanding of network security and architecture principles Experience supporting SCADA or other critical infrastructure communications is highly desirable Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a strong plus Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a willingness to engage across teams Local to Raleigh, NC with ability to work onsite downtown
